October 18, 2008 THANKS FOR A GREAT YEAR! Thanks to each and every player who came up and assured us that the PAG Tour is a great place to compete and meet new golfing friends this weekend. They gave encouragement saying that they will strive to bring more players in 2009. This Season has turned out to be a real battle in the A, B, and C flights right down to the last few tournaments. This is why we need more players in each flight to come play and battle for the Gold Cup. It would make it that much more exciting if 10 players where neck and neck in all 5 flights all the way to the last tournament. The final event in 2009 will be the PAG Tour Championship a 2 day tournament open to all golfers not just the tournament members. Along with some other changes the Tour should grow again in 2009. (economy willing) It is rough times out there today and we pray everyday that it will get better. We have a great schedule lined up for 2009. We hope each and every golfer who reads this will please bring a few more players next season. Its just 2 times a month to have the best golfing you will ever play. There is nothing like 18 Hole Stroke Play Competitive golf. Put meaning to your game and test your true skill. You really should try it if you have not played with us yet and meet some new golfing friends in 2009. Here are a few changes in store for 2009. First, we will be adding a Rules Committee that will over see all Rule Changes and Rule Decisions at the Tournaments. Second, We are changing the Flight structure to make it more fun for all golfing abilities. The new flights are listed on the Home Page. We feel that playing like the Pro's for amateurs should be just that. The Pro's get on the greens in regulation and putt for Birdies and Eagles. So we have adjusted the Flights Yardages to make this a reality for all our players. Players in the B, C, and D flights will play from 6,000-6,200 yards so that they can reach the Greens in Regulation. The last 3 years has been a 6,500 yardage for all, and players can't have as much fun when they can't have great Birdie attempts through out their round. We feel this will bring more players and we hope it will be you. Again Thanks for a GREAT Year of Golf and lets see if we can get some new golfers at the final tournament of the year.
